Identity Checks
This page applies to anyone who opens or has an Enoch Casino account. It begins at sign-up and remains in effect until your account is closed.
1. Why we verify
Knowing who you are keeps your money, your account and our games safe.
You can play from anywhere local rules allow online gaming. We follow Canadian rules on ID, age checks and anti-money laundering. Checking your details keeps minors out, stops fraud and the use of stolen payment details, and helps your winnings reach you safely. Before we accept any deposit, we confirm your identity, your age and your location.
2. Ongoing monitoring
Our checks carry on after you sign up.
We keep an eye on account activity the whole time you play. A new check may be needed if we notice unusual deposit patterns, a sudden rise in stake size, several new payment methods added in a short time, or play that doesn't match your profile. In that case, we'll email you and ask for any extra documents we need before you can continue playing.
3. Identity and age checks
Most players are verified quickly. Sometimes we need documents.
At registration, we ask for your full legal name, birth date and home address, then match them against trusted data sources. If that match doesn't go through, please send clear copies of:
- Photo ID from a government, such as a passport or driver's licence
- Proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement that shows your name and current address
- Proof that you own the payment method, such as a bank statement, an e-wallet screenshot or a card photo with the middle digits covered
Documents must be in colour, readable and unexpired, with all four corners showing. Send them to [email protected].
4. When verification is not completed
No verification means no deposits, play or withdrawals.
If we cannot confirm your details, or a document looks altered or belongs to someone else, we restrict the account. Deposits, play and withdrawals stay paused until the check is complete. If we find false documents, an underage player or a second account, we close the account and handle any balance as the law and our Player Agreement require.
5. Source of funds
If activity is higher or unusual, we may ask where your money comes from.
Depending on your deposits and play, we may request evidence such as payslips, bank statements, tax documents or proof of a sale, inheritance or savings. We use it only to confirm that the money you play with is legitimately yours. Until we receive it, deposits or withdrawals may be limited.
6. Records and reporting
We keep verification records and report suspicious activity as the law requires.
We keep copies of your documents, check results and transaction history in secure storage for as long as Canadian law requires. By law, we must report any activity that points to money laundering, terrorist financing or fraud to the proper authorities. The law also stops us from telling you about such a report, so we can't discuss it. See our Privacy Policy to learn how this information is protected.
7. Sanctions lists and politically exposed people
We screen every player against sanctions and political exposure lists.
We check names against Canadian and international sanctions lists. We also look for politically exposed persons, meaning anyone in a prominent public role now or recently, plus their relatives and close associates. A match won't stop you from playing, but it does lead to extra checks, including source of funds. People under sanctions can't open a new account with us or keep an existing one.
